Using his Campbell Cash, Jourden paid $25 to be the class photographer of the day! He caught us all working hard, and being silly. We were sure surprised to have Mr. Monty come back and visit us today! Here are a FEW of his pictures!!

Math...
Today we learned several ways to compare numbers. We used 3 different types of Venn Diagrams as well as a Carroll Diagram! After instruction, the students enjoyed working in groups to compare numbers using specific criteria. Sometimes a number wouldn't fit the criteria, and they had to throw it out into outer space!

Daily 5
Daily 5 is a method of running a Language Arts classroom. We are having
a great time building our stamina in the 5 different areas. Those areas
are Reading to Self, Reading to Someone, Listening to Reading, Work on
Writing, and Word Work. Here we are building our stamina as we Read to
Someone.
Terry Fox
A legend lives on! We ran for Terry... we ran for our friends, our family. I'm sure we have all been touched by cancer. I certainly have been. This past year I lost a friend to cancer, and am currently watching another friend and my closest aunt suffer with cancer. I ran for them. The kids were great ambassadors for our school on the walk around the block. :-) A gorgeous fall day! We partnered up with Mlle Grenier's Grade 1 class. It was a blast!

Wheels VS Rollers
In Science we experimented with rollers. We discovered that they are hard to steer, you need a lot of them to go a long distance, and they have no axle. We discovered that rollers REDUCE FRICTION, making our work easier.
Erin was a good sport and allowed us to push her across the floor in the basket. Jake said it was hard work. Then we put her on the rollers and Mrs. Campbell could easily push her across the floor. :-)
Special thanks to Blair, our class photographer!
