After learning many reading strategies and practicing with our whole class novel studies, we are ready to work in small groups. Students have been grouped and given a novel to read. The novels are based all on the same theme that KIDS CAN DO IT! We've had some great conversations about how kids can make positive changes in their communities. It starts at home, in the classroom, in the school yard and can grow to even their community, province and country! We learned about Ryan's well and how his small efforts has turned into a foundation that he now runs as an adult. Check it out at www.ryanswell.ca
The students are really keen on this theme and have begun creating their own clubs where they can make a positive difference in their own school. Well done, 4C!
