Engaged Students

Yes... it's Science again!  But this day we were using a lever to lift Mrs. Campbell!  We discovered many things about load, effort and the fulcrum and how they work together to do the job!   Even Mr. Deverdenne couldn't lift Mrs. Campbell when the fulcrum was furthest away from the load.  The closer the fulcrum was to the load, the less effort it took to lift Mrs. Campbell.

In Health, we performed a skit about internet safety.  We learned that we should never give out personal information on the internet, and that someone is always behind the other computer.   It's always better to be safe than sorry!   Make sure your computer is in a visible place so that you can see what your kids are doing. Set guidelines and rules.  Ask them to show you the games they are playing and ask whether or not they are "chatting" with unknown people on these games.   We can never be too safe.
